'turning off' htc sense? how to?

I installed adw.launcher last night and love it.. i cleared my home screens on sense.. should i be "turning it off" in some way to save cpu and battery?

or is clearing the home screens sufficient?

You should force stop htc sense under manage applications.

You also have to clear the defaults in the same place, or it'll just start up again. Then the next time you hit the home button, you'll be prompted for what launcher you want to use.

Better yet, download a free app called Home Switcher. It helps easily manage your different home UIs. If you ever want to try Launcher Pro or some other one in addition to ADW, it helps a lot.

I installed launcher pro beta and never went back to sense ui. Love the 3d app drawer and customizations that are possible.
