Turning off Sense UI

I have been trying to turn off sense ui, but it isn't letting me. I force stop, hit okay and then hit home button. After hitting the home button a white screen appears with HTC letters in green. I don't get the launcher option. Any ideas?

This is not possible anymore due to a software update apparently. I was interested in doing this to, but I watched a Youtube video and there was an update that said you can't do this anymore.

That sucks. I hated Sense on my Eris. Always used Home instead.

I recommend LauncherPro, or root and install a custom ROM. Oh and yeah it does suck that they removed the option.

I heard that with Gingerbread, we will only have the vanilla version if Android. There won't be any skins on any device.

Just use an alternate launcher. Here are a few other options Launchers

I personally prefer LauncherPro, lots of customizations. I never use Sense launcher.
