Turning on by itself?

Anyone else have their chromecast turning on by itself randomly? The last 2 days I've came into my room and the TV is on with chromecast up. My brother just got some crappy android tablet and will never admit to hitting the button since he has no idea what it is and knows I'll get pissed. so I basically need to know if anyone else has had this problem or if its just me or if its my brother.

Willing to bet something pinged it and that's why it woke up.

Figured. Is just irritating that my brother is such a baby he would never admit to it. BUT if it is possessed it better not try to posses me if I unplug it. Don't want to be chopping of any hands.

I've had mine turn on several times without any device intervention.

And I am going to bet you have Chromecast powered from an external source and not through a USB port on the TV. Have a hunch small power surges might be setting off some TVs.
