TV Screen Blanks

While watching television on my Sony TV the screen intermittently goes black for a second or so. When I removed the the Chromecast device the intermittent problem stopped. Anyone else experience this? Not serious, just annoying. Otherwise, I've had no problems at all.

Not sure I am understanding you. Do you mean when you are watching regular TV and not using Chromecast you have this problem while the Chromecast dongle is plugged in? If so, it sounds like an issue with your TV. If you are watching something using HDMI #1, your TV should completely ignore anything happening with the other HDMI ports. Maybe try plugging your regular TV signal into another port to see if it is a port issue.

Have you tried swiitching the inputs around? put the chromecast where the HDMI from your cable/sat provider is and vice versa.

Also are you using the HDMI extender that came with the chromecast. IIRC some people found that some models of televisions HDMI ports fit the extender better than the actual chromecast
