TV show streams is great, Quick question is there a way to stream on actual TV like netflix via Nintendo Wii or playstation 3? I would cancel my cable and use this, not that impressed with movie stream, I also noticed that my phone gets hot when watching TV stream, is this normal?

simple answer: no, you can't stream it to a tv
extended answer: no, unless you are Rooted with a Mirror-Mode capable ROM.

Yes, it's normal for your phone to get hot while using the App. mine usually jumps from normal 75* to 105* when watching an episode of Cheers, and cools down within 15 minutes back to normal temp

*best app i've bought to date

Thanks,

I would like to know your opinion of movie streams if you have the app, I have been reading the reviews and am not impressed. Also not to go off topic but how do I read phone temp, is there an app?

Install the Sense battery widget. It's free and shows the temp when you click it.
Thanks Chrisy :) I have that battery widget installed I think lol , I use one for battery status IDK If that's the same thing have to wait until the extended battery finish charging to check, but tysm:)

Movie Stream is not as good as its TV Show cousin. They don't have a good lineup of movies... Only handful of good movies the rest are direct-to-DVD types. I would advise not to go for it. I am eagerly waiting for Netflix for movies. Till then I'm using Watch Movies Now. They have some of the latest movies (like Fast Five, Scream 4, etc) but be aware that those are not DVD quality streams. Those are telesync versions... But since the phone's screen is small it does not look that bad, as long as you don't mind occasional silhouettes of people in the theater lol

As for the battery widget, may I suggest an alternative in Battery Mix, which I use to monitor my battery. It shows battery levels and usage on a graph and also shows the battery percentage right on the taskbar.

Thanks for the info, I'm going to check out Watch movies now after the extended battery finish charging. What is the price for watch movies now?

yea lol, I am afraid of the viruses especially with movies. But I am ocd-ish so don''t let my craziness stray you lol.

Aahhh what the heck! If I do get infected with a virus, I will just go back to factory setting....like I do with my computers :)

BTW, Watch Movies Now app lets you download the movie onto the sdcard for future offline viewing if you don't want to stream.

wow that's great, I wonder why they give it free? Well I won't complain lol.

I apologize for misleading you. Apparently, the app isn't free (I was probably thinking of some other app). I just found out I had purchased WMN for $4.50

Might sound crazy but I prefer to pay, I feel the developer is more careful when they charge and less chance of virus. Thanks for update:)

By the way, these apps are the Napster equivalent for video. Basically the apps are just a UI for a database listing the movies that people have uploaded to various free video servers. The content producers (movie studios, tv networks, etc) have not authorized the distribution of these videos. These videos get there because individuals have recorded them from TV or DVDs and uploaded them to servers such as Karambavidz and Frogmovz. They are not legitimate services.

However, that probably won't stop me from using them on a 20 hour car trip I have coming up.

Megaviewer Pro ($5.99) has much more movies...

And what rcpa said is true... These are not legitimate streams... But I use them anyways.

Just tried the TV Streams Lite and works well enough for me to buy. I open the Lite app and it says "Thanks for the 50,000 downloads! We are offering 50% off this weekend. Buy Pro for $3.99". I Click the Buy It link, takes me to the Market and it's $5.99 or 25% off. Guess I'll wait a day or 2 and see if the price drops in the Market when the weekend is officially here.
