TWC TV app using HDMI

Hey all,
I bought a HDMI cable thinking id be able to watch tv using my xoom on a tv bc i dont have a cable box in my room but I as soon as i launched the app a prompt popped up on my saying i cant use an HDMI cable while using the TWC tv app. Is there a way to bypass the prompt and force it to work with the HDMI cable without having to root?

Not to my knowledge, you can't. I'm guessing the app's blocking output, and there's nothing one can do without finding some root-related work around or modifying the apk. I don't recommend doing either
