I don't think there's anything wrong with it, no. I used it (happily!) for a while when I first got my Incredible, then tried a few others out of curiosity before settling on twicca. Honestly I think it just comes down to personal preference, since each app has its own unique appearance and list of features.

Rem what are your current settings for twicca? I like it. IF i could just set up the notifications correctly, i'd be fine. I want the timeline to update automatically just like any other app. And i only want to be notified for dms and mentions. Every setting i choose there seems to be a problem. The timeline won't update, or i get a message saying you have new tweets. Thanks

You know the dev is very prolific and responsive. You should try emailing him...

Twicca is pretty amazing and I personally give more weight to frequency of updates. That's why I prefer Twicca to Tweet Deck. The UI is so intuitive.

Now if only Android would get Tweetbot...

I believe this is a Twitter feature. You can't do it from the Web app either.

All the other Twitter apps have this feature. I think it is because Twicca pulls from the website.

How do i contact the developer? Is this happening to everyone? Jesus i sound like such a whiny pants lol. IT just seems weird. Every twitter app is able to do it. It just seems like i have my settings incorrect.

I have mine set up to do almost exactly what you're wanting, minus auto-updating the timeline in the background. I've actually never even thought about this since it only takes a second or two to refresh when I open it, but I can definitely understand wanting the option.

My (relevant) timeline settings are:
[x] Move to top when switch timeline
[x] Get tweets when switch timeline
Scroll position when refreshing: top
Number of max tweets when download: 200 tweets
[x] Enable auto paging

Relevant notification settings:
Scheduled check: Every 1 hour
Scheduled check target
[ ] Home
[x] Mentions
[x] Direct messages
Notification Method
[x] Ringtone
[x] LED
[x] Vibrate
Check after load timeline
[ ] Home
[x] Mentions
[x] Direct messages

I know this still isn't exactly what you're asking for but maybe there's something here that you overlooked. Let me know if there's anything else I can check for you.

Thanks. So it seems what i want(for the app to update my timeline in the background) isn't available yet. I just wanted to be sure i wasn't missing something. That's cool, im going to stick with it. Thanks for the help.
