I wonder why I have two camera apps, one at 4mb and one at 8mb. Also when I go to the gallery, there are two folders with the same pictures in them. One labeled camera pictures, and one laveled camera media.

It's been like this since I got the phone 1 months ago.

Anyjuan have an answer?

No answers??

No one has an answer to this? Does anyjuan else have the same two programs and folders or is my programing different?

Did you edit the folders with your computer? That may be why you would have 2 folders with the same pictures. As for the 2 different camera app's I have no idea unless its a software error of some sort. Do both the camera's work and do they place the pictures in the same folders?

When I go to settings, applications, Manage applications, menu, filter, all. I have two camera apps. One is 8.00 KB and one is 4.00 KB. Both show Version 6

When I go to the gallery, there are two folders, One labeled camera pictures, and one lavebed camera media.

It sounds like other Droid phones don't have this.

When I go into manage applications like you did, I also have two camera apps although mine are both 4KB.

In the Gallery I have camera pictures, camera videos, and camera media which contains both pics and videos.

When I go to manage applications I only have 1 camera app but I'm rooted and running 2.1 so I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

In the folders which I changed when I go to gallery it shows downloads, camera, movies, and wallpaper. You can edit these when you mount to your computer to however you like, check other threads for more examples.

Ok, I looked. I have 2 camera apps, but one is 4 KB and the other is 0KB. As far as the two folders, the one called camera pictures contains only images, while camera media also contains the videos you've captured as well. That's standard I think.
