Does this issue ever end with phones these days? Had the same issue with older phones, and it took about 3 to 4 replacements just to find one without it. Now i'm on Evo number two, this one developed out of no where. Seriously how can this be fixed?

Well, it's LCD, so those chances are there regardless of WHICH LCD display you're buying. Sucks but true.

Search for stuck pixel in the market. I found three apps on there. Looks like two of them Pixel Fixer and jScreenFix might help. They cycle the pixels rapidly to try and unstick them. I've used the PC version of jScreenFix on a regular LCD monitor to unstick a pixel and it worked there.

Tried them when I got this second Evo, they faded but came back eventually.

What exactly does a dead or stuck pixel look like? I had one on my Samsung LCD TV but you would only notice it when the screen was solid black and it was in the far bottom left hand corner of the screen. You Never noticed it when watching TV because it was so small.

I have had my EVO since launch on June 4. I use the very small weather widget on my home screen and I have that widget placed in the upper right corner on the main home screen. I happened to notice a couple of weeks ago what looked to me at first as a piece of dust on the screen except it didn't wipe away. Closer look at it the dot is red and red no matter the back ground. More noticeable on a white back ground but it's just the one and it literally looks smaller than a pin hole from a needle... Going to a full white screen it's the only one and it's not in the middle of the screen at all.

Tried the Pixel Fixer on it for a while and it didn't seem to clear it up....

Just curious if that is what one looks like and if they are that tiny...

Search for stuck pixel on youtube...
YouTube - How To Remove A Stuck Pixel

Don't look at it while it plays on your Evo... it can potentially make the stuck pixel come back to life.

I have already done all the tricks, videos and much more for removing this issue. They are still there.. So i'm getting another replacement. It's getting unacceptable for LCD's to still be having this problem after all these years.

Haha good one! LOL... This will be my last Evo if I get another with the issue. As much as I love it.
