So last saturday i opened my at&t app to make a payment, after that i when to the shop area and the first add that show state that if a trade in any $20+ value phone and buy a samsung S8 S8+ or Note 8 i qualify for a $200 credit ... under the add say Upgrade Now so i clicked and started my selection of the phone model and color etc etc... before the check out i saw nothing relate to the trade in so i started a chat conversation with costumer service and they recommend me to go to the store so they can honor the promotion to me..

I arrive to the store and show the app to the lady there and she saw the promotion but additional to that i have the print out of the promotion rules.. she say that didn't know about that promotion and asked her manager and the manager agree .. by the end of the transaction new phone already paid and everything wasn't no promo code or anything to apply to my account, we started calling 611 and after like 8 costumer service representative from different departments and 2 (two) hours in the phone like a ping pong game back and forward they first recognized that the promo was expired but is in the system so thats the reason im there at the store... but no one can honor the credit .. two hours 2 two ... so one guy finally get the way thru their system to apply the credit.

its really sad as a big company as at&t with all those competitors with unlimited data and low price plans keep pushing costumers to get cable and tv service so wireless costumer can have some promotions deals

I understand your frustration. I experienced a similar problem when I purchased my G6 at 50% off through bill credits. Terms and conditions indicate that bill credits begin after 3 months of monthly device payments. On the 4th month, I had to call and "remind" AT&T to credit my account.

AT&T's service has been pretty good for me. I usually get good reception wherever I go in my area. However, I've been with them for 10 years now. Prices have gone up, but it's always the same old song and dance. "Open a new line", "Subscribe to Direct TV", to get a deal.

I'm all about trying different prepaid carriers or project fi to see how service is. My 10 years of loyalty are rewarded with 12-months of magazine subscriptions and Tuesday night BOGO movie tickets.
