Two Incredibles, One Standard Battery and Two Extended Batteries later...same issue

It all started when I received my first like-new Incredible replacement with extended battery. It would indicate it was charging but the phone would slowly die while charging until it barely held a charge at all. And yes wifi and the works was disabled. Thinking it was a battery issue I got that replaced through Verizon tech services. Same problem with new battery, so after also trying multiple chargers they thought it was the phone. Got the phone replaced.Same problem. Replaced the extended battery with standard battery. Same problem.
Where do I go from here, I know I should be asking Verizon that question but I am just fed up but they have done a very good job helping through this process, I just want to know some other options. (ex. Getting a completely different and new phone that works)

Are you sure your are using a 1 amp charger? Are you using the Origional HTC charger?

I'm sure you've been through this, just looking for a little more info to try and help.

Yes I am using the original charger and I have tried other microUSB chargers as well. I also used a power outlet instead of power strip etc.
No I understand, I have been through just about everything but any help at this point is appreciated! I'm obviously slipping up somewhere or I just have terrible luck with Verizon like-new devices!

Just to clarify, you had no issues with your origional phone, just the replacement?

Was the like-new phone a warranty or insurance replacement through VZW?

If that is the case and you have been through everything you have stated, changing chargers, changing batteries, returning to stock battery and it's still not charging, I think you need a liker-newer phone.

I would tell VZ Support that you need another phone.

I tend to agree with you. I mean it is possible that both phones and batteries failed that were certified like new. And if my luck is really that bad then I would push for maybe a brand new phone...not to sound greedy but it has been a long two weeks without one.

I would get them on the horn with VZW. I don't think the battery was the issue since both batteries do the same thing. Whatever tech replaced the extended battery after the original battery displayed the same symptoms should be "Re-Schooled" in troubleshooting 101.

If both batteries are displaying the same symptoms, and the extended was replaced? ?liker-newer? is the answer.

Sorry you're going through this.

Return and replace, sounds like your refurbished unit was crap for some reason.

Have them replace it with a new phone not a refurbished(if you get the right person on the phone all they have to do is get Supervisor approval). If they don't want to replace or even ask, just keep calling back in and use the email contact on the VZW site as well. I found with that last pos of a blackberry I had(6 of them, 2 brand new right out of the box) the email helped alot because your notes are there not just the CSSR's notes.

I have a question for the OP: how long does this process take? Is it like you plug it in, the light turns green, but it doesn't really charge at all and then dies? Or does this take a day or two sitting on the charger?

It never fully charges or charges more than the battery was originally charged. The battery came partially charged and it will slowly deplete even plugged in. It dies after the first night and then it never charges again.

And you say you've used more than one charger? Because this sounds like a bad wire or bad contact in the micro-USB.

Very odd that you would get two devices in a row that exhibit the same defect... Maybe they just boxed up your return and sent it back to you. ;)
