Two Lock Screens

I like having the lock screen, the one where I swipe a pattern. However, is there a way to get rid of the first lock screen, the one that says Sprint with the date & time/ Screen Locked, Drag down to unlock. Everytime I want to use the phone, it's a pain.

While I'm at it, with a locked phone, if I lose it, how can an honest person return my phone to me? I've found cell phones in the past and it was easy to find the owner - if the phone's unlocked.

Thank you, I had read that No Lock wasn't working with 2.2 I'll give it a try.

Okay, that got rid of the wrong Lock screen. I now have the Sprint one and the pattern one is gone.

I have seen a lot of threads expressing discontent with the lock screen. What is so bad about it?

Try out Lock Delay. Not sure if it works with 2.2, but it will get rid of the standard lock screen on 2.1

you have to manually set up the lock (non swype one). when i was on 2.1, i didn't like the drawing style, so i turned it off. when 2.2 you get the option of having a pin, so i do use that. i don't have any issue with having to swype than punch in a number.

i've also set the lock time at 15 minutes

No lock disables all locks. I too would love an app that allows me to just use a pattern lock.

Any news on this front? I would like to get rid of the swipe down lock and keep the pattern lock.

Is there really no way to do this? I even installed the vanilla lock on the new fresh Rom, and I still can't get rid of it.
