Two questions on the droid turbo II/Force

That's ok if it doesn't charge as quick. At work in 4 hours my S4 can drop up to 30% which is a lot. I normally stick it on charge sometimes if it gets to low. Looks like i'll be fine when I get the moto x force & be able to give the battery a boost with a portable charger or power bank.

Today I have had my T2 on for 16 hours and have 67% left. That's been primarily on wifi but yesterday I spent all day traveling and had it off the charger for 16-18 hours streaming, downloading apps, playing audio books and music and had over 50% left after using it all day. The battery on it is stellar.

As a test, when I went to bed last night, with 67% left, I left "Timely" on "night mode" with my alarm set to see what would happen. It made it to this morning and the alarm went off then it died right after (about 6 hours with screen on low the whole time). I put it on the charger when I got started getting ready and then went back to it about 45 minutes later it was fully charged from ZERO. That's pretty impressive for a battery this size.

Wow that's impressive. How have you got your battery lasting so long?

I really haven't done much. One thing that may be helping is that I'm on WIFI most of the time now so it's using less battery that way. Also, I keep my screen brightness around 70%. I don't think I've changed much of anything else. It's just been a pretty efficient phone on battery.

Well when I get mine I hope it's a really good battery as I'm a heavy user & always on my phone.

I have another question. How does the phone react when you take out the sim tray to put in an sd card? Does it cause problems or do you have to do it with the phone switched off? Then when you switch it on the phone will realise you have put in an sd card?

For the Turbo 2, Verizon says that the device should be powered off when removing and inserting the tray. I think that's a great idea anyway - it ensures that the SD card is dismounted when the tray is opened.

See Insert the Memory Card - DROID TURBO 2 | Verizon Wireless

(If the forum messes up that URL, as they sometimes do with verizonwireless URLs, type verizonwireless.com in the address bar in your browser and add this to the end: /support/knowledge-base-200483/ )

See also Insert the SIM Card - DROID TURBO 2 | Verizon Wireless (or add /support/knowledge-base-181303/ to verizonwireless.com.

So would be safe to unmount then turn if off?

My ex use to turn his phone off then take the sd card out but later it would end up being corrupted. Happened all the time with him.

Unmount the card from the Settings/Storage menu first. With the price of some of these SD cards, let alone everything stored on the card, better safe, than sorry.
