hi
after installing twrp
as I understand volup + menu + start should boot into twrp recover mode
however it doesn't do this I get normal recovery mode, not twrp?

VolUp+Home+Power. If you get the stock recovery, you didn't install TWRP. (If this is an AT&T or Verizon Note 3, use Safestrap, not TWRP. You can't install TWRP (locked bootloader), so Safestrap inserts itself into the boot chain and lets you choose a normal boot or a Safestrap boot - which is a modified TWRP. (It looks and works like TWRP, but it runs on Samsung phones with locked bootloaders.) 3.72 for 4.3, 3,75 for 4.4.2, downgrade to 4.4.2 if you're at 4.4.4, install Safestrap, then replace the 4.4.4 bootloader (Odin the BL file) and boot to 4.4.4. Replace the bootloader with the 4.4.2 BL file and you boot to Safestrap, do what you have to do, then replace the 4.4.4 BL file to run the phone. (It's a pain, but Hashcode is too busy with the Ara project to rewrite Safestrap for later versions, and it looks as if no one is picking up the reins [or he's not relinquishing the source code]).

this is international n9005
running 4.4.2

but this is now running twrp no?

so I should install safestrap?
I don't find him? where I find safestrap?

so how I can make a backup now?
I tried backup inside twrp, it ask your sure you want reboot to recovery and complete specified actions
but then also it boot to the standard recover menu?

maybe I can use other software then twrp? I really like to have a backup

installed cwr and same problem, only booting to stock recovery

installed safetrap, installed recover, but also only booting to stock recovery
ps. I get recovery state: installed
but safe system: not active

?

edit
