Of course not the US models though... TWRP released for Snapdragon Galaxy S8/S8+, but not the US models

Since the US models have a locked bootloader including the US unlocked models, I don't really see much reason to root anyways. Locked bootloader means you can't install custom ROMs.

The locked boot loader is the reason this won't work for the US versions.

The US versions of the S7 also had a locked bootloader but the phone could still be rooted. They must have changed something on the S8 then.

This is more than just root though which is what I believe is causing the issues.
