TXT MSG shows when screen locks

If I do not touch the screen for a minute or so, it will black out and lock itself, I love this feature. How ever, when I go to unlock it, before I do unlock the screen, it shows a previous READ text message on it. When I click the text message it disappears and the phone requires to be unlocked.

How do I stop the text message from showing at all unless it is unlocked?

are you using the stock messaging app or handcent sms?

Stock messaging does not do this, must be using hand cent which has settings to change this.

I haven't ever seen this on my EVO. It could be a software glitch on your device. Did you try renooting it? Was your messaging application open when it locked?

It only shows the last SMS if you haven't read it yet. If it is showing one you are 100% sure you've read (check, they may have sent a duplicate), it's probably a glitch. If it happens often, contact HTC.

Sounds like a glitch, it should only be showing last unread SMS. I prefer handcent, you can disable the feature and make it private amongst a whole lot of other customizations that cant be found on stock sms.

It is not a glitch. It shows the current message on mine too.
