Hi i found some strange folder in my Xiaomi named U_DATA_X. I have never download anything outside playstore. Should i be worried?

I notice there are now only 9 comments on that thread. Earlier there were way more comments including the folder you refer to. That should tell you something

Welcome to Android Central! Is that a subdirectory of another broader directory? If so, which one? What kinds of files are in this directory?

It is storage/emulated/0/U_DATA_X. There were like 20 files but i dont know what kind it was. They were all created like one year ago, same as this folder. At first i thought its just some xiaomi things cause anything i found about it was on xiaomi forums, but then i saw that some guy on xiaomi forum said its a virus. I think that he doesnt have an idea what hes talking about but im a liitle bit worried now. The files look like in this thread what is folder U_DATA_X - Redmi Note 4 - Mi Community - Xiaomi
I have Kapersky antyvirus on my phone cause i have here many important data and he never tell me i got any viruses, is it worth to have it?

Hard to say what that's for -- chances are it's just a data folder for some system app or Xiaomi app. I can't find any other information about it on the web. Try using Malwarebytes as well -- if that doesn't detect anything malicious, and if you have Google Play Protect turned on, then I'd say you're pretty safe.

Play protect is not especially good. There are still apps om Play Store that contain malware. A further question on the site I linked to has been removed for moderation. It is well known that many Chinese brands sing to Chinese servers. The only way I would consider using a Xiaomi is via a custom ROM.

I found this on turkish mi site on forum "When you connect to the wireless network that comes with the MIUI9 update of the Vlan_logs folder, nothing happens if you delete the log files, U_DATA_X is the user data records file". So it just store apps settings etc? I deleted this folder, nothing bad happened. I scanned my phone with kapersky and marvarebyte. It looks like i didnt get hacked or something, yes?
