UAG Monarch cases for S8+

Has anyone prior knowledge of the Monarch series of UAG cases? I really like the look of them online but haven't found any in the flesh to look at. I want a rugged case that isn't too bulky that protects the phone as much as possible.

Anyone with an S7 or S6 Edge used one and can comment on how good they are for the edge control please?

I would love some user opinions before I drop $60 on another case

I have the white UAG case for the s8 plus. Works great. Had it for my Note 5 as well. Have yet to put a screen protector on the s8 plus yet though. Was looking at the monarch, but the $30 for the regular uag case was expensive enough.

I've had the Monarch since Saturday. Unfortunately still waiting on my S8+ preorder from BestBuy. I like the case. A bit beefier than the Red I have on my S7 Edge but not by much. I like the Aluminum screws since I have had the rubber "screws" on the last 2 UAG cases come out.

I've had my S8 monarch case since Monday. UAG cases have been my go-to case for several years now, but this case is even better than their plasma or pathfinder cases. It is a bit heavier, and expensive, but I would definitely recommend it. The only problem I've had so far is the letter "G" from the logo on the back of the case fell off (or rather, was pulled off by my magnetic car mount), but I just glued it back on so no big deal.

I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid Crystal and Spigen Tough Armor for my S8+. Both are nice cases, but the New Hybrid is not grippy at all. The Tough Armor is better. I had a UAG on my S6E+ that worked well for me.

How grippy is the Monarch?

It's pretty grippy I would say.

The midnight version looks awesome, I am very happy with my Defender but I'd consider the Midnight Monarch if they make it

Anyone have knowledge on how the poetic revolution stands up against the uag monarch for the galaxy s8+? Does the monarch case cover all the buttons and ports like the revolution does?

I've been trying to find out if the Monarch can be used with a magnetic car mount without a plate in the case. It says "alloy metal hardware" and I wasn't sure if that was the whole shield over the leather or just the letters and screws. I love my car mounts but hate the only cases I have that accept the plates without a bulge. Is the back metal? If so, is it magnetic and strong enough to hold the S8+?

On a side note, it's funny how I came across this case. I've never used UAG cases because they looked too bulky. Today, a coworker left his phone in the bathroom and it had a Monarch case on it. When I picked it up to take it out to the receptionist, I thought, "Wow, this is actually a really nice." You just never know.
