Wow. Battery life cut in half since 6.1 download. Have done all items to troubleshoot including partial reset to clear cache partition. No improvement. I am one month past Samsung's 1 year warranty period. They said there was nothing they would do but offered me 750 dollars off a S24 "that way you be under warranty".

I bought it through Verizon, so a call goes to them tomorrow. As I explained to Samsung, this is NOT a hardware issue so warranty should not be an issue. It's a software problem that caused the decrease in battery life.

Anyone else seen the same problem?

I commiserate with you . . ;) . . but you shouldn'ta, hadn'ta, oughtn'ta gotten me started :) . .

While my S23+'s battery performance improved slightly w/UI 6.0 . . .

I wasn't going to update beyond the UI 5.0 that came w/my S23+, last Fall of 2023, as my experiences —since 1st Android in 2011— with every single Android update that I've ever allowed, or that has been forced down my Samsung phones' throat, have all been negative, with massive losses of available RAM, massive losses of storage GB, as well as worse battery performance (as you're currently experiencing).

Notwithstanding, for some inexplicable reason, I did update to UI 6.0 a few months ago, after reading something about Android 'security updates' (on one of those incessant, pervasive, push-all-the-AC-members-posts-off-of-the-forums-'What's new'-front page, whilst constantly cluttering-up the AC Forums 'What's new' front page with AC NEWS'-front-page-hogging clickbaits  ) . . . which I must've foolishly let temporarily concern me, (it was late at night; I probably wasn't thinking clearly), and so the next day or so I did the Odin firmware flash w/the Frija - Samsung firmware download tool.

Anyhoo, I lost an entire 1GB+ of available RAM (an avg of 4.4GB available w/UI 5.0 — down to 2.8~3.5GB available w/UI 6.0 :( ), and 300GB of storage space - by foolishly doing so! :( And why?? Why do Android & Samsung updates have to use up so much available RAM & storage ??

Personally, I think that most of those so-called Android 'security updates' are absolutely unnecessary, if not mostly unnecessary. And nothing more than very slight tweaks; many or most of which are probably not needed. After all, if your phones' been running good and there's nothing wrong with it and it's not infected with any malware or whatnot, it's probably going to be fine for a very long time, (e.g. I ran Android 8.0 w/Samsung Ex 9.0 - on my Galaxy S7A from 2017 -to- 2023, with only one UI update, with no issues whatsoever)!

The incessant update mania that's so prevalent throughout the next-gen-tech-driven society these days . . is far beyond ridiculous and bizarre to me. As there's constantly entire threads, here, all over Android Central, and elsewhere in forums all over the www, concerning nothing more than people constantly hyperventilating and peeing in their panties over when the next 'update' for this or that or whatever . . is going to be, as if life itself depends on it! And as if a huge part of their lives' entails constantly hand-ringing about anticipating when the next 'update' will drop, perhaps due to playing video games their whole lives, where everything's all about reaching the "next level".

Nevertheless, the one and only positive that I've noticed, since updating from UI 5.0 to UI 6.0, is after a week or so, my S23+'s battery performance did improve slightly - to approx 4 1/2 days between charges.

Good luck in getting it back to normal, or with getting a new one sorted out.

Odd battery life here on OneUI 6.1 still outstanding, SOT 11hrs to 12hrs, with no charge after 1 day and half .

Noticeable drop in battery life since update to 6.1. Used to have 30-40% at the end of the day; now I need to charge at least once to top enough to make it. Very disappointing, as the initial battery life in my Tmo 23+ was outstanding.
