For those waiting in the UK, i just popped into pc world for a nosy and they had a pile of nexus 7's behind the desk.

they are just free stock - not pre-ordered or reserved. so if you want one you might want to try your local store.

i grabbed one and cancelled my G Play order

i could have waited till next week but i got a bit excited when i saw the boxes and couldn't resist!!

Did Google let you cancel over the phone? How long did it take?

I cancelled via wallet on the web. In your transaction click the contact Google seller link thingy and there is a cancel option

PC World are feckin useless, they told me they aren't in store and I can't reserve online. I'll nip in at lunchtime tomorrow

Still waiting to hear from them. But I paid with a basic account I use for internet stuff, so I transferred the money out to make sure they can't charge!

Picked mine up at PC World earlier, looking forward to playing around with it tonight

Got one from Curry's Holborn today. Pretty impressed so far. They had ten, and I reserved over the phone. By the time I got to the store, all 10 had been reserved.
