UK update out but I can't install it??

Help please... My Mate 9 says I have 44.49GB of space on the phone (about the same on the SD card), but the S3 update won't download - the message says - unable to download the software update for your gear. To download this update free up at least 289.24MB of space on your phone.
What's up with that?

Unusual that so many had no clue, but if it helps anybody else, I woke up to a Gear App update this morning and after that was installed the update ran just fine.
