Slightly niche question, but here goes.

I'm considering the 1 MK3 when it appears. With no new note this year , I'm looking to keep my N20U as a work device and buy a couple other play devices.
And just for a bit of difference , I quite fancy a 1 mk 3 .

Now the question - anyone in the UK have a mk2 in any flavour - 1 , 5 or 10 that used sky mobile?

I need to see if volte and WiFi calling worked on those as they are not officially on the list but the mk1 's were.

It may be worth ringing Sky mobile and asking them if those phones are compatible. Unfortunately, I live in the UK but am not on Sky mobile not do I own a Sony mobile phone.

Aye, unfortunately sky are useless. The chances of getting someone who knows what voLTE is , it's pretty remote.

The first 3 levels of support will just give "if it's not on the list, it wouldn't work....." Script.

The reason the be hopeful is that sky state they support the Sony 1 , 5 and 10. They just dont state what version of those handsets .

I know the 10 ii works , but that may be as they sell it still although it's not specifically on the list.

My old Samsung Xcover 4 also worked for volte / WiFi calling although not mentioned anywhere.

Just can't pass up how cheap sky are. Or I would move back to a proper provider
Plus we need O2 signal on the beach here. Unfortunately our street is a complete dead spot, so WiFi calling etc it's a must.

Yeah O2 is pretty good signal. I am on 3 and get it mostly everywhere I need it. My pay as you go is with Smarty. Get 30GB data unlimited calls and texts and free mms photos for £9 a month no contract. Can't beat that.

Aye. I travel all over the country and need my phone to actually phone. Past 3 years O2 has been consistently the best for this. I routinely try all the rest.

I wish 3 had better results, but there is a reason it's cheap. Actually gives full bars here. But full bars of nothing - can't actually make a consistent call and web pages fail to load.

( If you are willing to do cash back, 3 unlimited can be had for £3 over the 12 months )

I pay £7.50 for 25Gb with sky but can move up down the tariffs at will. The kids both have 6gb for £4. And my wife has a free for life 100mb / unlimited calls txt . All data is bankable and can be shared.
