Leaked slides hint at what might be the "Ultra pixel" phone by Google

I'm guessing it's got a 2018 target date if it's real at all, but that damn iPhone X has got me wondering. And dreaming, and drooling, and hyperventilating... the whole 9 yards.

One of the comments at AP nailed it I think ...

"I think it's the Pixel 2 XL without the re-branding. That "Ultra pixel" slide to me suggests it's just a marketing caption rather than its name - i.e. it's an "ultra pixel screen".
That photo looks very much like the other leaked images of the Pixel 2 XL. I can imagine there are a few more photos which the leakster didn't manage to snap, which probably show other aspects of the phone with more captions next to it - like "pixel camera" or "pixel perfect imprint sensor".

The primary purpose is actually to reveal the sensational new Daydream VR 2nd edition, with finer nylon!! The Pixels are just an afterthought.

That makes more sense. Phones aren't important. Everyone already has one. Not everyone has VR though.
