unable to add to contact list

Today I tried to add someone to my contact list and after doing so, it was not on my list. This is the first time since the update that I tried. Could it have affected this in any way?

What groups are you selecting to show on the phone? If not 'all contacts' then the new contact won't show in your phone list unless you go to a computer and add them one of the groups displayed, within the Google contacts.

Go online to your Google contacts, is the new entry in there?

same thing happened to me - i fixed it by restoring my opt. 3 - by going to settings, etc etc - you'll find it - and then when everything rebooted - i was adding contacts no problem - must be a bug with some
