I'm fairly new to rooting, so I appologize in advice if this question has a simple answer. Last night I rooted my phone (Droid Incredible) using Unrevoked and loaded SkyRaider 2.5.2 Sense. I also used this link for my instructions: How-To: Root and Install Android 2.2 Froyo On the HTC Droid Incredible

The only exception to the instructions was I loaded 2.5.2 instead of doing the 1.7 -> 1.9 upgrade method described in the link. Before I loaded SkyRaider, I did a nandroid backup of my current configuration (stock + root). I then followed the instructions to load SkyRaider and it loaded just fine and had it up and running for a few hours. However, I wanted to go back to my original configuration because I forgot to write down all the apps and settings I had. So I went into nandroid and did a restore, so I'm currently running on my old settings (stock + root). Now that I have everything written down, I want to load up SkyRaider again. Per the instructions in the article, I boot into ClockworkMod and did a wipe data/factory reset. Then I went to "Install Zip from SDCard", specified the same zip file that I had used before, and then confirmed. It looks like it's erroring out, but the screen moves so fast, I can't see what the error message is. From what I can make out, it says something about the stock image. I should have done a nandroid backup before I restored the old version, but I didn't do that. Has anyone ran into this before, and how to I fix it?

My baseband is currently 1.00.03.04.06. If it needs to be 2.05, then how was I able to load the flash last night? Also, if it requires 2.05, how do I upgrade to that?

So do I need to take my phone to a Verizon store in order to get the updates? If that's the case, then I need to unroot, take it to the store to get upgraded, redo root, and then apply SkyRaider. Is that correct?

Ok, I think I figured it out. I mounted the SDcard to my computer and noticed that the zip file was down to 800k. What I think happened was, when I loaded SkyRaider the first time, it unpackaged the files and removed them from the zip file. When I went to book from the zip, it actually did load the zip, but there was nothing in there anymore. I just unrooted my phone so I'm back to the stock image. I'll go to a Verizon store tomorrow and have them update my firmware to the lasted version and then attempt this all over again.

Thanks for the replies.

If you get anyone at the Verizon store with just half a clue, he'll look at your phone and tell you "warranty denied."
