Phone - Samsung Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850F)
Hi! So I was in the middle of making a few important phone calls and my phone alerted me that I was at 5% battery, I rushed to my usual old faithful Sony charger and plugged it in to find out that my phone wouldn't charge at all (earlier my phone refused to charge with the same charger and I ignored it as it started charging again in no time). I figured I'd try out 4 other chargers as well as sockets and.. nothing. So I came to the conclusion that it was either my charging port or my battery. I attempted to reset the phone, I received an error message saying 'Unable to charge your device. Make sure that you are using a Samsung-compatible battery and charger.' Then my phone died. I haven't been able to get it to turn on since.
I've tried to clean out the micro usb port, its already pretty clean..
Taking out the battery for 10 secs then plugging the charging cable then the battery back in didn't work..
Also gave all connectors a blow and a wipe..
Few other fixes attempted, nothing.
I'm not far from spending 20 bones on a new battery from Amazon as a last resort to see if it'll at least give me enough battery life to backup all of my data.
If anyone has some info on a fix or some advice I'd be so grateful, thanks in advance.
