Hey all, new here but lurked the forums for some time while learning how to flash and install different ROMs. I've got an N7 8gb that had been rooted and running CWM for about 8 mos no problems. However, over the weekend my daughter was playing a game and it froze. After an attempt to reboot, my N7 now cannot load the OS or boot at all. It basically has the droid laying down with the red triangle and exclamation point with the words "no command" below it. However, that is it, no other words or anything with a menu to get into recovery or anything. I've tried every possible combination with the power + volume buttons to bring up any sort of menu, but the only result I get is if I press the power + volume up buttons, it either dims or brightens the screens. I've tried several time installing and reinstalling the goodle USB drivers from the sdk, as well as asus' drivers and nothing is coming up in device manager. I absolutely cannot get this thing to be recognized in windows (tried both windows 8 & windows 7 PCs). I need some serious help with this. All the resources about installing drivers point to enabling USB debugging, but I obviously don't have that option.
I've tried using wugs rootkit to install drivers, and that was no help, when checking adb it failed (no surprise) and when I try to fastboot, it says no fastboot devices detected. I'm not sure how to manually install drivers, but I think this is the missing link for me. If I can somehow get the drivers going, maybe I can use the rootkit to take it back to stock and start over. TIA
