Unable to play music from a downloaded album without internet access

Hi,

Why is it that when I have downloaded an album from Google Play, I can only listen to some of the songs offline and some require an internet connection?

I had a si.iliar problem once before with my iphone.....make sure the files are actually downloaded on you phone rather than being streamed from the cloud.

This is happening when I have actually bought the album! Surely if I pay good money to have something I can expect to be given the files and not a link to them?!?

You have to download the album onto your phone. When you purchase it from Google play it goes directly to their cloud service. Without internet connection it will not play. Make sure it's saved to your device

Look for the 'pin' logo next to the album in Play Music. Press that and the music should be downloaded (not just cached) to your device. If you want the actual mp3 files you can log into your Google account through a browser and download a zip file containing them all twice.
