Unable to receive text messages on HTC 20 Pro 5G after android 12 update

Hi all,

sorry if it is not the best place to post that.

I recently updated my HTC 20 Pro 5G (T810S) phone to android 12.
Everything went apparently fine but I am not no longer able to receive text messages.
All the other features of the phone are working properly.
I tried all the suggestions that I found with google without success.
I also contacted my servive provider (videotron, Canada) and they were not able to solve this.
I suspect that my system might be damaged.

Do you have any good suggestion here ?

Welcome to Android Central! It would help to know which suggestions you already tried, so that we don't duplicate any of them.

Does your phone support RCS Chat? Which messaging app are you using? Open it, go to its settings, and look for Chat Features, and see if it's active.

Have you tried a 3rd party messaging app (like Google Messages, if that wasn't preinstalled, or Textra)?

Did you already try the Reset Network Settings option in the system settings?
