Unable to Screen Mirror to Chromecast with Google TV, or to a Sony TV with Google TV.

I can Cast from supported apps, Like Netflix, but can not screen mirror using the Google Home app.

Samsung Note 10 Plus.

I was able to install both through the Google Home app on my phone. After they were installed and showing in my Google Home app, tapping on either just shows "Connecting", but never connects. I never get to a point where I can mirror to them. Both are on same network, and same Google account.

I tried force-stopping Google Home app, restarting, deleting and re-installing. All permissions are enabled.

This USED to work with my old Chromecast devices. Not sure what else to look at.

Instead of going through the Home app, what if you use the Cast option in the system settings?

So I looked around and found that most phones have a "Cast" option in quick settings. My Samsung did not. I used a utility to make this hidden feature visible in my quck settings, but tapping it just says "No nearby devices found".
I'm stumped.

I can Cast from compatible media apps, but can not screen mirror (or even connect to my Chromecast devices) through the Google Home app. Screen mirroring, when connecting to a Chromecast device, is usually done through the Google Home app.

Ok gotcha , you try uninstalling the chromecast for 30 seconds then plug back in ?

I have unplugged everything, all devices, routers, restarted, uninstalled, re-installed Google Home, FDR my Sony TV with Google TV, deleted the Chromecast devices from Google Home app and re-added them, logged out of the Google accounts on everything and logged back in, performed fresh setup on everything, then came here and posted for help. That's where I'm at. I'm at a loss.

Also can you try on another TV?
I have a Sony TV with Google TV built in, and a Chromecast with Google TV device. Both have the same problem.

What's odd is that both of them were successfully set up through the Google Home app, but I can't connect to either of them with the same Google Home app after setup is complete.

I'm about to set up Google Home with my account on another phone just to see if the same thing happens...
Wow, just set up Google Home with my account on an old Note 8 I had laying around, and it worked perfectly. Now I know it's my phone that has an issue, but not sure what else I can look at on it. SURE don't want to do a FDR on my main phone.

Haha, yes, that was one of the first things I did. Uninstalled Google Home app, rebooted, re-installed it, set it back up. No joy...
