Unable to set any photos as lockscreen

[Android Central Question]

I've been trying to change my lockscreen for nearly two weeks via both the Google Photos app and through the Settings. Every single image, whether a personal photo, Zedge download, or web save, comes up with a notification that says, "Editing is not supported for this image". I have attempted resetting my phone, signing out and back into my Google account, you name it. I literally can only set my lockscreen wallpapers now to the built in default wallpapers. I am using an LG V30+ running Android 8.0.0 on the Sprint network.
