Unable to Sync Contacts from Pre to Evo?

I was at my local corporate sprint store today and a rep told me that they are unable to get the contacts from the pre onto any other phone.

I havent seen any other threads on this, so I am not sure if it is true. How have you guys gotten contacts from your pre to your evo?? It would take wayyy too long to manually input all my contacts

When I fist got the Pre, I set everything up through Gmail, that way I wouldn't have any problems later transferring my info from one phone to another.

same here, put all my contacts in Gamil problem solved

but you can use Preware to add "email all contacts" as vcard, then import via Gmail, then just sign in to gmail

either way you're going to need a google account to enjoy the EVO

i did it on my own. I will post how i did it in 1 minute.

Then just import to gmail.
The thing is... I think there might be an easier way if you have Preware (but I didn't check at the time).
