Unable to update because of encrypted device

I have a galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. After having to already hard reset this tablet once because of WiFi issues, I'm now receiving a notification that I cannot update new software because the device is encrypted. When asked if is ok to decrypt device and I press "ok", nothing happens and I'm routed to general security settings where Encryption. The encryption tab is grayed out and there is no option to "decrypt". Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Running into a similar issue, cannot update because of encrypted device but I do have the decrypt option. After typing my password and watching the tablet reboot and attempting to update again, I find that the device is still encrypted. The Security tab still shows the device is encrypted, tried this a couple times, still encrypted and still unable to update. So apparently even if you get the decrypt option, you still can't decrypt for the upgrade.

Resolved my issue, apparently I did not have enough storage space for the decrypt to work. After deleting files off my tablet I was finally able to get the decryption to work. Maybe if you check your storage space and delete some files the decrypt option will be available? As a data point, I have 32GB tablet with about 17.8GB used after removing files, I was at 23GB before.
