Undecided on what to buy

I am currently a Blackberry user. I am getting ready to move from Sprint to Verizon. I am considering a Galaxy Nexus but not sure about virtual key board and this device seem difficult to root. Devices with physical key boards seem to be under powered compared to new phones. Any suggestions?

Verizon has a ton of Android phones, but i prefer GSM to CDMA. If you would consider AT&T, they have two good ones...Skyrocket & Vivid.
