In the market for a new phone so I am signing up to a forum or 2 to keep myself in the loop and see some others opinions.

Was originally waiting for the Bionic, considered the TB and the Charge which are both good enough. Posting a short list off the top of my head here. Please add to it as I love options.

-Options Now:
HTC Thunderbolt
Samsung Droid Charge
Motorola Droid X2
HTC Droid Incredible 2
LG Revolution


-Summer Options:
Motorola Droid Bionic
Motorola Droid 3
Samsung Galaxy S II (Samsung Function)


Might not be the best place but I'll put a question out there. I am trying to find where the phones branch off? To me it seems one has to choose between LTE (faster internet) or multi-band (world phone) as no phone has/will have both?

For now that's true - but I'm sure there will be Global LTE phones.

The phones you listed are all good options - your best bet is to read up on each in the forums and then play with each in the store to get a real feel for how they work for you.
