Underclocked Processor

I was curios does anybody know if the HTC Evo 3d underclocked? I read a few places saying that it is normally 1.5 ghz

Yes it is underclocked to 1.2 Ghz to conseve battery life, at least from what I heard. I wonder how it would run after rooting and overclocking to it's full potential

im gonna be extatic if it could go stable at 1.8 ghz, that would be faster than my dads pc, his is a single core 1.766 ghz processor *crosses fingers* lets go dev community

EDIT: I have found out it is impossible to go past the 1.5 ghz mark because if it does the phone opens the worm hole app and all life is gone...that is why the bootloader is locked

Yup can't wait for this! Those Nexus guys (you know who you are) that like to troll these threads are totally down playing the dual core processors. The thing is when devs start working on this thing, it's going to punish anything out there! You can have your vanilla single core! I'll take dual core rooted with a side of XDA developers please!
