I woke up this morning and tried making a call so I hit the green dial app icon and instantly get the message:
'Unfortunately Contacts has stopped working.. and it closes it'
I am pretty IT savvy so I googled the heck out of the issue. Here are the things I have tried.
Are there any other ideas? All of the Google posts I see are from this summer, I am wondering if this is a new issue in November that no one has a resolved yet.

I am pretty IT savvy so I googled the heck out of the issue. Here are the things I have tried.
- I started by going into Settings > Storage > Applications and cleared Data/Cache of several contacts related apps.
- I disabled the Google + app completely.
- I disabled all contacts syncing of all accounts and re-enabled.
- I made sure all apps are fully updated, even though when the problem first started all apps were out of date. Additionally, firmware is fully updated.
- Finally, I held volume up, power, and home button and wiped android cache partition.
