Unfortunately, google play store has stopped.

:-!hi everyone, im new to this community but ive been to other forums as well but not tech related like this.

im having a problem with my rooted CHERRY MOBILE SKYFIRE 2.0.

ive encourntered an error which says "unfortunately, google play store has stopped".

ive tried to search and seek help with my friend "google" and all answers i found lead to this suggestions.

clear cache on application manager,
force stop the play store
uninstall updates
uninstall play store and reinstall it with new apk
remove google account, and re add it again (or use a new account )

tried the worst case scenario which is doing a factory reset, still does the same process.

even clear cache, force stop, shut down for 5 minutes and relaunch app still didnt worked.

even tried to do reset app preferences on application menu and still no effect.

i tried usign factory reset again, install google play store, clear cache, force stop, reset app preference, shut down fone , relaunch and reinstall app
still didnt fix the prob.

please anyone could help regarding advanced troubleshooting?

my phone has no apps as of the moment coz i cannot install any apps coz play store is not working, ive been having this for two weeks so please help.

the only way i can do to install app is to use a pc and transfer apk files to it.

edit : btw ~ ive even tried to format memory card and format phone storage and still didnt solve the prob. is it because i rooted my phone?

1 thing more : my phone is working fine after i rooted it, i used it even after two months then this prob started happening.

any suggestions may do. thanks for those who will share comments, suggestions and opinions.:-!

The only thing I can think of is to delete the google account and re-add it.

it work sometimes when I tried to remove my Google account and re add it. play store launches but every time I try to install an app play store closes again and problem repeats itself. anyone here who might know how to fix this?

HI.

I just face the same trouble as you.

just go to settings - application managers - all - reset all preferences

try to restart your phone than it back to normal again.

Don't know if yours did this but after performing an instruction, my phone freezes for 5 seconds then pops up the play store has stoped working message...

I have faced the same problem and just clear data and cache and then restart the set. After doing this i had same problem. But after some hour the problem has fixed automatically.

if problem will not fix automaticaly then install GO LAUNCHER EX. And install things from there.

here's how to fix the problem
for those who are outside of supported countries .
you have to set up an vpn , to do that you moust go under setings in your phone then find the options for vpn , vpn is usally found under wireles&network .
after finding vpn youll have to configure it .

I was receiving the same problem, Google Play Store unable to start after system update.
Potential reason I believe was the version mismatch.
How I solved it:
Went to Settings > Apps > Downloaded > Google Play Store
Clear cache, clear data, force stop and uninstall update

Then I reopened the play store with wifi connection in place and it immediately prompted me to update it. I said yes, and then got a newer skin an worked fine.

I had the same problem but then I changed my DNS to Google's and everything works fine. Maybe my ISP's DNS server has some problems with Play Store??
