No idea why this is happening. I have tried to download Plex a bunch of times and the Play store is stopping. I uninstalled all updates back to 4.3.1. I am finally able to download and install. First time I opened after uninstall though it crashed again but now seems to be working.

I also get "no more room on this page" a lot. Not sure where this is coming from though because I have plenty of storage left and my SD card is not even 1/4 full.

"System UI has stopped" has popped up a bunch of times as well. Usually when I restart the phone. I am using Nova Launcher. I also have Themer and now ADW installed. I am not sure if I have too many launchers possibly causing issues or what. I dont really want to wipe out my entire phone data to do a factory reset either. If I have to, is there a way to backup how my phone looks and works right now so I dont have to reinstall and resetup everything?

Sorry about the delayed reply. Try resetting app preferences in Settings>Apps>menu>reset app preferences. This can help Play force closes.

As for the UI, I would remove one of the other launchers. Personally, I would start with Themer.

I have no 3party launchers. I am getting more apps that 'Unfortunately -- has stopped" which I meant to raise in another thread. 5 at least. Should I try un and reinstalling. One, Skobbler premium offline maps and nav, now closes straight away with no message, but I will raise that with them. It has a 200+ mb map.
Can you run that by me again.
Its nothing to do with ram or a slow down.

Hi. Not play store. Most are UK. Auto Express was the first, TV CatchUp, TV24, GMX Mail, Daily Mail Online, EBay once or twice, Google maps once or twice, GPS Maps and Nav by Skobbler (really great), London Underground maps by TFL, BBC Sport, LBC radio.
Some others I don't remember. The first listed more often than the later ones.

I just wondered if you can think of a fix via Android or Touch wiz.

Thanks for asking. Tony

Ah I've been trying Kii but Swiftkey even (maybe).

No more room on this page means the icon of the new app goes to your home page and there is no more room for icons on that particular page.

THE BEAST,,NOTE 3. SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!!

Uhh. I don't know recovery mode.

I don't clear cache yet as a rule. Never needed to or understood with my GS2. I'm even dumber than I pretend.

I uninstalled the worst app, Auto Express a week ago, as they seem to support iOS more and only now give links for each listed article rather than in app. I will install it again.

Should I clear cache next time it happens to an app, or try 'recovery mode'. Thanks.

Why not clear cache?
If you think that one app is causing the problem, I would uninstall it.

No problem, thanks.

I remember I did clear cache regularly on GS2 when moving apps off/on different sd cards.

Still getting problems without worst app, but I will try to isolate more in the future.

Only had Note 3 for 4 weeks.

I have ADW launcher on both, never used it. Uninstalled before and will now.

I will sort it as I get more knowledge. Thanks.

(must clear cache, must clear cache, must.....)

Well, clearing cache can help with data conflicts after updating.

@Ogio

Appreciate you bringing up the other thread. I wouldn't have found it.

I have had 'Lookout" running on both phones. I may try AVG or other.

Old AVG was impossible to completely remove from an old PC, it put deep files everywhere, so left a bad taste.

But that was then and I heard it's good.

Lookout may not suit the N3, who knows.

I'll wait until the problem re appears big time.

Many thanks.

I removed themer and have not gotten a "UI has stopped" error. I do get email to crash every once in a while. Just happened last night actually. This is the stock email app which I just have as my exchange email for work. I use the Gmail app for my gmail account. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just use the windows defender AV on my home computers since my experience with AV is usually not favorable. What negative side effects do AV programs have on android and how necessary are they? I dont just go around clicking download links on the mobile web, and I only install apps with over 10,000 downloads.

@ power5

Good question about the need for antivirus generally. I may have seen a thread for it, maybe time to start a new one.

I bought my first Android in June 2012 and a best apps book. Lookout was recommended as king then in the UK, and I see on AC 1 or 2 US networks supply it pre-installed now.

I can't know which AV program is least intrusive, more efficient and effective these days, some will; or indeed if your sensible, as you say, if there is a need for one.

Logic says there is a need, but I have never heard of a major virus or trojan thingy causing havoc. Presumably as Android is not solely 'hard drive' reliant as with PC's of old, networks and servers must have a way of 'washing' everything. As with swimming, I have waded too far out here and am out of my depth from here.

Maybe someone else can wade in. (Hey!... I thank you...)
