Getting this message "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" when I turn on Nexus 7 tablet. Also, "Unfortunately, gmail has stopped", and "Unfortunately, chrome has stopped" come up and shut down those programs respectively. I have searched other threads and they said to delete the google account and reboot then re add the account. This didn't work for me. I called the help support line found on the google page and they said to get a new one from Staples. Everything else works fine. Think I'm getting the run around there. Thought I'd ask if anyone here had other ideas. It is a month old and I have done the newest updates. Any help is appreciated.

I experienced that, along with other glitches (i.e. system crashing). a reset + hard reboot seemed to cure most of them. I'm still experiencing problems with my tab, but I'd rather man up than send it to incompetent ASUS support for a month. If you have issues that are occasional and not consistent, they don't do anything about it :/.

If a reset doesn't resolve it, the issues might stem from an app. I know for a fact my screen filter app does funky things when it's active. If you reset it and are still experiencing issues even though you haven't re-installed your apps, I would just get a new one.

This isn't a hardware issue people. This is software. Either an app or the system itself. I had it happen quite a bit, switched to a custom kernel (stock ROM, rooted) and the problem went pretty much away, but it will occur occasionally if I try to do too many things at once. Check your recent apps, make sure they are all closed if not using them, then swipe them away out of the list.
