Unfortunately your email has stopped working... why?

My phone started having this pop up on the screen. I have to push "ok" to get it to close. It even pops up at night when my "night clock" is on - blocking out the time on the screen. How do I make that STOP?

Is the Gmail or stock email app the one that is the problem?
I always start with a shut down and restart before I troubleshoot.

It is (I assume) the stock. I have rebooted a couple of times. I even looked in the "store" to see if there was the same email app so I could uninstall this one and download a new. I use outlook --- both on my PC and phone. (Droid Turbo). The most recent new app I added was a "digical", however I don't believe the problem started until a couple of weeks later.

I have a samsung galaxy tab 4 . use to get my emails all the time...now they have stopped working. Any ideas?
