Saw this icon and disabled everything and read all notifications and still it remains. Normally call notifications appear on the left side but this is on the right side next to my WiFi connection and I don't know what it is (picture attached)

Welcome to Android Central! The shape seems to be related to a SIM card. Is it a dual SIM phone?

Not sure what it is but my assumption is that it's your "phone" for making calls is turned on? meaning like the other icons in the picture. battery, silent mode, alarm, WiFi and so forth.

OP's got a dual SIM phone. The square around the signal triangle bar on dual sim phones only appear when there are two signal bars with the square around the primary sim signal.
That icon refers to what SIM the OP has as primary. Typically it should be a "1" or "2" in that symbol though. You can select icons used in Settings>Connections>SIM Manager>Tap on the SIM you want to change icons for>Icons.

Source: I've owned dual SIM Samsungs since 2014 since all models they have in my country are dual SIM.

Sorry for the late response but I did not receive notifications that anyone had replied to my question and I had forgotten my password. I just had my screen repaired and they put the sim cards in the wrong slots. Yes it is a dual sim phone and in turning the sims on and off to fix connection problems the symbol went off. Thank you all for confirming and just in time as I was about to uninstall my favourite apps in the fear that I had picked up a trojan or a virus (watching alot of Law & Order). Anyways thank you all for your help and confirmation.
