Uninspired to return back to Apple - so will this model still hold it's own in a years time?

I've got a year left on my contract and really like this device, but with the announcement of the new 6S coming (left me uninspired) I was thinking in a years time will this device hold it's own, i.e still be smooth and fast etc? I'm worried next year ill be with a device for 2 years and it'll be far behind the others?

It depends. What you will use it for?

Regardless, I doubt the M8 will be supported much longer - that is always a case for switching to a newer model.

Mikey I still have my M7 running KK. It looks and acts like the day I took it out of the box when it was brand new. So I am sure your M8 will be just fine in a year.

We will see Android M in the next few months and this may help keep it current for the next while....
