"Unknown Address" text messages?

I keep getting messages from Unknown Address as the sender & all the messages say Message Not Found or Permanent Failure. I thought at first it might be when iPhone users send me media or a group message but that works sometimes but I other times I get that message. So I'm really not sure what it is & I brought it into a store & they were no help.

I think sometimes those may be solicitors. Is there anything in the message at all?

I find it happens if I try to open an expired photo from a text conversation. It will say "message expired," disappear, and then a few seconds later I'll recieve that message from an "unknown address."
I'm sure there are other causes too, for instance, someone on a different thread said it occurs when someone sends a message from a Blackberry.
