Unknown icon upper right corner, vibration - what is it?

So, every now and then my Fit 2 will show a little icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and it'll kick off a short vibration. I can't quite tell what the icon is supposed to be, and I can't find it in any literature. There's no rhyme or reason to when it happens -- it's not connection-related, as far as I can tell, or tied to any setting I'm aware of.

Anybody know what this is? It's annoying when it happens as I'm trying to go to sleep (and the vibration happens when it's in DND mode).

This happens to me when it connects and disconnects from Bluetooth with my phone. Started noticing it as it happens in 'do not disturb' mode and couldn't work out what it was until I realised that it would be when I was moving around and leaving the range of my phone's BT.

Can get really frequent when my phone's only just in BT range and it keeps losing signal. I sleep with my phone in the same room though, so it never happens at nighttime.

Any help?

I was thinking it might be connectivity, but it happens to me when my phone is sitting within three feet of the Fit2. However, you're describing exactly what I'm seeing, and so maybe it IS Bluetooth. I'm using a Nexus 6P, and this wouldn't be the first time I've had Bluetooth connectivity issues.

When you swipe down from the main screen, there's a status right at that top that tells you if it's connected via BT or disconnected. Next time this happens, see if it's switching between connected/disconnected. It seems to buzz for both statues so you'll need to check a few times in a row.

Aha! Yep, you are EXACTLY right, thanks so much! It's definitely disconnect/reconnect notifications. I have no idea why it's disconnecting when I have my phone in the same hand at times, but that's definitely what's going on.

Whew. Was really driving me batty.

sounds like a dodgy BT connection. Have you got another BT device you can pair with your phone to test for dropouts? Or another phone to test to rule out the GF2?

Unfortunately, I don't. However, it's not THAT big a deal. Just good to know what the issue is, so thanks again!

Yes this drove me crazy for days. Thank you all for the info. I found from the home icon press the home button again, short press do not hold button, then select settings. From here choose connections, you will see an alerts section, make sure this is not selected showing O with gray circle. If the circle is blue with I symbol it is on and you will receive the vibration notifications.
