Unknown Ring Tone Triggering

I have a Galaxy Tab A, SM-T510.
Every so often a ringtone sounds. But when I go into notifications there is no notification listed.
I'm guessing it occurs every hour or two.

Any ideas what this might be?

Have you gone to the Notification History in your settings? Also, install Good Lock and the plug-in "Nice Catch" as that will give you a more comprehensive notification history and triggrers of notifications/ringtones.

If it's periodic (i.e. always happens at the same time period) it may be a notification reminder, which you can also set up or disable in your Settings (i.e. remind after an hour if a notification is still pending, etc.).

In settings I look in Notifications,
So, Good Luck is a launcher?
I was unable to find "Nice Catch" in my play store search.

Good lock not good luck. You get it from the Samsung store.
Good lock is an installable app from Samsung that adds things that should already comes with the launcher.

Sorry about the delay.
What is it that this app does?
What does it mean when 'Locking' an app.
GoodLock, while weirdly named, is just an additional app for Samsung phones. It's made by Samsung and it truly unlocks additional features and customization on your device, but for some reason, it's not installed by default. It's a 'companion' to your phone's system. Once downloaded (through Samsung's store), you have several 'plugins' to choose from and each allows different customization options or additional features for your phone, like having more control over your notification history and its details with the "Nice catch" plug in.
