unlock phone and home screen is not shown, last item open shows

when I wake my phone it does not go to the home screen it shows the last item open, anyone having this issue?

Welcome to Android Central! That's normal behavior. If you didn't exit out of the app or press the home button prior to turning off the screen it will still be there when you wake it again.

It does it with the phone at the home screen before it goes to sleep, don't matter if i hit the button to put it to sleep or it goes to sleep by time

I don't quite understand--are you saying that even if it was on the homescreen when the phone goes to sleep, it still wakes to the last app you were using?

Are you running an alternative launcher or the stock launcher?

Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Wipe Cache Partition - DROID Mini / DROID Ultra / DROID Maxx by Motorola

It did the same thing today, guess it did not help,

Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. Maybe something you installed is causing this.

Restart the Device in Safe Mode - DROID Mini / DROID Ultra / DROID Maxx by Motorola
