I want to recover data from my galaxy s6 before replacing it, but the screen is completely blank and does not accept touch inputs so I cannot unlock it. (The notification light seems to be acting normally and I've tried every reset button combination mentioned anywhere so it's likely the screen is simply dead)
A computer recognizes the phone but cannot see files until the phone is unlocked, so my best hope right now is to connect a keyboard using a USB OTG adapter to put in either the swipe code or select the backup passcode. The problem is I have no idea what key presses do what and no way to get feedback.
Can someone who has an adapter and usb keyboard plug it in, play around with it, and report back what keypresses do what on the unlock screen?
