I have my captivate on official 2.2 right now, My buddy is buying it from me this weekend, He has T-Mobile (I'm aware he will only get edge and he is aware of that as well) So I am unlocking it, I know about rooting it and installing the unlock app from the marketplace that does all the work for you to unlock it (without having to edit the files yourself)
My question is if I unlock it then run ODIN, and do upgrades to 2.2 for it and all will the unlock stay in place? If not and I choose the settings to put it back at the "Factory state" the unlock should stay there as well right?
Just wanting to make sure I am able to clear my info completly off and still have it unlocked.
