Unlock with Swipe, Fingerprints for Apps LG V20

[AC Question]

Is there a way to set the screen lock as Swipe but still have Fingerprints used for apps?

I setup the fingerprints and was playing around with the different screen lock methods, I was surprised that the phone actually erases all fingerprints if that option isn't used anymore. Ideally the fingerprints would be saved and still be used for certain password-protected apps, but I would think that at least the fingerprints would be saved if you choose to use them for screen lock again.

I don't know of any way to selectively set fingerprints.

You could try a 3rd party application like AppLock - Fingerprint https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...tails?id=com.sp.protector.free&token=oYRRV8Qs (there are lots of others if you don't like that one).

The T-Mobile V20 can.

go to settings
fingerprint and security
fingerprint (input pattern or code)
then scroll down to the bottom
turn off lock screen
leave lock content turned on
